GSRWA Will Accept Workshop Session Proposals on February 1st 2012 for the 2012 Emerald City Writers Conference

Be a part of one of the largest regional romance writing conferences in the country!
On February 1st GSRWA will begin accepting Workshop Session proposals for the 2012 Emerald City Writer’s Conference. The conference will be held October 26-28 at the Bellevue Westin Hotel in Bellevue Washington. This year our Keynotes include such luminaries as Susan Wiggs and Michael Hauge.
You are invited to submit workshop proposals for education and inspiration. Four category tracks are planned for the conference. New this year: workshop sessions can be 90 minutes long in addition to the traditional one or two-hour sessions.
Category Descriptions:
- Writer’s Life: A writer’s life challenges and business issues. Examples include wellness, time management, organization, career planning, marketing and submissions.
- Writing Craft: All aspects of fiction writing craft. Examples include plot, structure, setting, character, them, voice, editing and critiques.
- Business: Information about the industry. Examples include market news, the roles of publishing professionals, social media, and branding.
- Genre: Topics of interest to writers in various or specific genres. Examples include world-building, historical research methods and resources, military and law enforcement practices and cultures, mythology, and genre norms as well as genre clichés.
Submission period opens February 1, 2012. Proposals are due to GSRWA by March 15, 2012.
Authors are also invited to share non-paper promotional material with our 300 attendees.
