Sweet vs. Sensual
Compiled by Pat

The "sweet" or "traditional"
romances include such contemporary lines as Harlequin Romance, Harlequin Presents,
and Silhouette Romance, among others. Traditional Regency stories
would also fall into a similar category. All of these books vary greatly
in how sensual they are, but under no circumstances do the hero and heroine make
love unless they are married. Sexual tension is still a key
ingredient. Other, more sensual lines also emphasize sexual tension, but
the couple does not have to be married in order to make love, and it is never
treated lightly.
